Yosemite
Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to spend a weekend in Yosemite National Park and marvel at the landscape and also the pictures in the Ansel Adams Gallery. If ever one needed insipration to keep pushing for ever higer levels of landscape photographic mastery, look no further than the prints of Ansel Adams. To see them in a book in great, but the printed originals are amazing. (more…)
Say hello Honey!
The newest member of our family on four legs… She likes to bite and chew, especially everyone’s legs!
Wide Angle fun!
I’ve been attempting landscape photography for a couple of years now and using general lenses until today. I finally purchased a 10-20mm Sigma lens and went to the beach for a play…
I noticed when I got home that most of my shots did not use the full 10mm and were mostly 15..20mm range. i wonder if this is years of looking at the world through a different frame?
Summer Time begins…
You wouldn’t think it from today’s weather, but summer time started on sunday and I caught a few sunrise photos. Loosing an hours sleep didn’t make it easy to get out of bed, but the morning was stunning and worth it!

Welcome to Hollywood
Last weekend I had the pleasure of working again with Ivory Flame. With the help of Ruth Lawlor for makeup, Lorraine Gilligan for styling, hair, and location, we came up with some fresh images of the past…
The Burren
Even though I lived in Galway as a teenager and went to college in Limerick, apart from a fleeting drive to Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna, and a night in Kilkee, I could never say I really saw the coast of Clare, The Cliffs of Moher, or the Burren proper. So this weekend armed with camera I set off to see the Burren and call to see a friend I met on a Raymears bushcraft coarse I went on in June 2007.

A bit of Fashion
Had a great afternoon shoot with model Iveta and MUA Dashee in Dublin last Friday, trying to put a fashion story together…
Pink Granite Coast, France
Stayed near Perros Guirec earlier this month. Well worth getting up at 6am for the sunrise. There are lots of areas of coast line to explore and with good morning and evening shots.
Imelda May concert, Vicar St. June 14th, 2009
Borrowed a 70-200mm 2.8 lens for the gig, hope you like the shots.
A good years work!
The last year and a half since joining Celbridge Camera Club have really improved my skills and productivity as a photographer. I started out as novice and this year won the Novice Photographer of the Year with the club. I also received my LIPF distinction in April and am totally addicted to photography.
