The Burren

Even though I lived in Galway as a teenager and went to college in Limerick, apart from a fleeting drive to Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna, and a night in Kilkee, I could never say I really saw the coast of Clare, The Cliffs of Moher, or the Burren proper. So this weekend armed with camera I set off to see the Burren and call to see a friend I met on a Raymears bushcraft coarse I went on in June 2007.

India, first impressions…

It’s been 3 months since I returned from a week in India (Bangaluru) on business. I should really have written a blog of my first impressions while still there, but here are some of the images I managed to take that week.

Family on wheels

Thankfully I did not have to drive, the rules of the road seem to have gone out the window a long time ago. The one thing a camera can’t capture is the constant beeping of horns; most trucks even have ‘beep me’ on the back to encourage over taking drivers to let them know they are there.

I also managed to take a trip to Bandipur which is a national park on the eastern edge of the Western Gatts. I don’t think I got there at the best time of year as this was a disciduous jungle and everything from the ground up had a light brown colour to it. See the rest of my images in my galleries
Lamur (I think!)
