My site has been inactive for over a year, primarily because the previous hosting service trashed it, including backups.  [Note to self…Always backup the backups!]  It was a busy year (not photographically), so I’m only now getting to rework the website and rethink my photographic journey.

In 2011 I decided I needed to go back to college and get a degree.  I ended up completing a Masters in Electronic Systems majoring in Image Processing and Analysis, which I completed August 2013.  So there was at least some loose association with my photographic interests.  However, the workload along with the day job meant my weekends on the side of a mountain or in a studio where few and far between.

In 2011 I also swapped my D300 and lenses for a D700 (and no lenses).   I convinced myself I could get by for a while with a 50mm 1.4 prime and an old 24-85mm lens.  I didn’t think it would take me so long to add some longed for lenses, but last June I managed to acquire a 16-35mm F4 lens.  I’m really looking forward to using it properly this year.  The car above is one of the few opportunities I had last year to use it!

Happy New Year!
