My shed studio recently had a make over in terms of light. The 1m sqr. western facing window, high up off the ground, has been replaced by a 1m wide x 2m tall window down to waist height. This weekend it got it’s first try out the the lovely Anne Duffy model.
As usual I had more ideas than time and difficulty controlling my plan for the shoot. The initial aim was to come up with an art nude portrait suitable for my impending panel submission. The beauty of the new light for a morning shoot was floor to ceiling light with no drop off on the model once I found the best posing location.
Continuing my interest in classic lighting and slighty surreal reconstructions, I tried a composition inspired by me recent return to Kaufbeuren in Bavaria after an absence of 28 years! Whilst there I also had the opportunity and pleasure to view the Fotoclub Kaufbeuren annual exhibition.
Many more photos to process and I’m looking forward to some more natural light shoots this summer:-)
