I felt somewhat guilty over the summer seeing other photographers posting sunrise photos of the Irish Sea, obviously taken many hours before my head left the pillow each morning. So now with winter setting in and a more respectable 7am sunrise, the prospect of getting to the beach these morning has been more manageable.
Not every day is a beautiful sunrise, and recent fog kept many photographers off the beach. But sometimes a chance image is still possible…
Even sunset and twilight photos are equally at more manageable times and only take a hour if you’re lucky enough to live near the beach and time it right…
I’m looking forward to some more winter scenes this year. I hope the news today that the weather in 2015 was 1 degree warmer than any time back to pre-industrial period is not an end to the little chance of snow we get in Ireland…
