So ambling along in the woods today I inadvertently released the shutter and produced a pleasing abstract image (above).  So I took ten minutes to create a few more slow shutter speed creations while moving the camera in various directions in the forest.  I think the result make a nice collection of textures or maybe future canvas prints.  I can see these making their way into may other composites in the future…

Some of these were taken hand held, some using a tripod.  In both cases I had to get use to the timing of the movement after releasing the shutter to derive the most pleasing results.  So next time your out with your camera, maybe think about colour and textures and give this technique a go.
