A good reason to join a camera club is because it gets you out to discover new places you maybe would not have come across otherwise. I thought I’d get to Wicklow much earlier this morning, but our new puppy Ollie made sure that was not going to happen. I thought I had put the correct marker in imaps for the planned outing location near Manor Kilbride, Co. Wicklow. Turns out I was at least a mile off.
It didn’t matter, I probably got more images since I stopped on Lisheen road in a beech wood and explored there for an hour or so. Thought I lost my phone and had to retrace my steps with another kind family calling my number while I ran around the woods listening for nothing but leaves in the breeze.
Got back to my car, and there was the phone on the front seat 😐 To top that, after finding out where I should have been I hopped into the car, headed to Cloghleagh woods, only to discover I left my coat on the rear spare wheel… back to Lisheen road again, and there was my coat in the middle of the road, some distance from where I parked!
I think the camera club had long gone by the time I started exploring above the bridge in Cloghleagh wood. Very happy with the images I captured, and only managed to cover above the bridge this time. Will have to go back again and explore the lower section before all the leaves are done.

Hey Niall, sometimes it’s these little diversions and distractions that yield the good shots and sometimes more enjoyable.
Some adventure Niall, definitely a book in there somewhere.
