Today I received the results from my first Salon submission in about two years. I was delighted to receive a Salon Gold medal for “Emergent” and Salon HM for “One small step” in two of the 5th Desire Circuit 2020 salons in Romania.
I took a break from entering FIAP salons after receiving my EFIAP Bronze in 2018. Since then I have been mostly working with models on location and in studio with much less landscape and seascape or travel works.
I have already submitted works to a few more salons and am optimistically hoping I would have enough acceptances and awards to apply for the next EFIAP Silver distinction in 2021.
This salon had 4 sections in which I entered a total of 16 images. In Mountains and Nature catagories I only received one acceptance across all 4 circuit salons. This was disappointing but reflects my portfolio to a large extent. So with this feedback I will focus on my model photography for the rest of this distinction journey to keep my acceptance rate as high as possible. From this one circuit salon I received a total of 20 acceptances, exactly 5 per salon from a mix of the nine images below.
